MISSION Engineers Without Borders partners with developing communities to improve their quality of life through the implementation of environmentally, equitable, and economically sustainable engineering projects while developing internationally responsible engineers and engineering students. VISION EWB-USA's vision is a world where all people have access to adequate sanitation, safe drinking water, and the resources to meet their other engineering and economic needs. The scale of today's problems necessitates a new way of thinking and a long-term approach.
HISTORY In the spring of 2007 a group of undergraduate and graduate students joined together with the common goal of establishing an official chapter of Engineers Without Borders here at the University of Kansas. This goal became a reality with the ratification of the club's constitution, the hosting of our first general meeting on April 26, 2007, and recognition by the national organization, EWB-USA, in May 2007.
The KU chapter is currently focused on its first international project in Bolivia. Our chapter has also worked closely with the Kansas City Professional Chapter and their project in Guatemala.
Below are the current officers of EWB-KU. We look forward to working with you! Please feel free to contact us at anytime!
